

Born in Wise, Virginia, July 16, 1935, she was a daughter of the late George Bailey Kesterson and Ovie Victoria Kilgore Kesterson. She was retired from the Central Virginia Training Center after 30 years of service and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James Edward Crews, Jr.; three brothers, Johnny Melvin Kesterson, William Joseph Kesterson and Leonard Ray Kesterson and three sisters, Violet Rose Kesterson, Nadine Marie Dudley and Madge Shelton.
She is survived by three daughters, Onnie D. Anderson of Madison Heights and her friend, Pete; Donna J. Lloyd of Rustburg and her friend Chuck Ferguson and Sandra K. Newton and her husband Clyde of Madison Heights; one brother, Eddie Bailey Kesterson and his wife Mary of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; one sister, Charlotte Louise Johns and her husband Jay of Gladys; six grandchildren, Wendy Gayle Croom, Amy Lynn Newton, Patricia Gail Wiggington and Tamatha Ellen Ley; Christy Stewart and Doug Stewart; five great grandchildren, Christopher Michael Boyd, Makayla Sky Newton, Frederick Wiggington, Taylor Nicole Robbins and Sara Madaline Ley. She is also survived by a very special friend, Martha Burnette.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at the home of her granddaughter, Amy Newton, 458 Main St., Madison Heights.
The family would like to thank the many wonderful friends at her church for the love and attention they provided during her illness.
