Frances Abbott White

Born June 3, 1934 in Bedford County, she was a daughter of the late Frank Edward and Lizzie Logwood Abbott. She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Lynchburg where she served on many committees. She retired from C.B. Fleet after 20 years of service.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Abbott Ingram.

She is survived by one sister, Dorothy A. Wiseman and her husband Charles of Leesburg, VA; a brother Joseph E. Abbott and his wife Lee of Lynchburg; one niece Linda Ingram Sorrell and son Scott of Clinton, NC; two nephews, David Wiseman and his wife Beth of Lovettsville and Mark Wiseman and his wife Debbie of Bluemont and their sons Andrew and Kevin. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews from her husband’s side whom she dearly loved and many devoted friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 5, 2013 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
