

Born December 20, 1936 in Buckingham County, he was the son of the late George Franklin Adcock and Ouida Swan Adcock and was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara A. Farmer.
Mr. Adcock retired from C&P Telephone Co. / Bell Atlantic. He was an active member of the Madison Heights Lions and Ruritan Clubs and was Secretary of the Virginia State 4-H Horse Show. He was an active member of Woodmen of the World and was a member of Randolph Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Adcock is survived by three daughters, Diane A. Morcom and husband O.G., Tamara Wenning and husband Paul, and Sabrina Carter and husband Brad, all of Madison Heights; two sisters, Roma Peters and husband Leslie of Madison Heights and Ann McFadden of Gladstone; two brothers, James Adcock and wife Cora of Lovingston and Mike Adcock and wife Carla of Madison Heights.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Daniel Allgood and wife Lindsay, Brittany Hogan and husband Dustin, Taylor Carter-Taylor and husband David, Bryce Morcom, Owen Wenning, and Jaden Hogan and two great-grandchildren, Saylor Allgood and Carter Hogan.
Mr. Adcock loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and vacationing at the outer banks.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Wanda Scott and Sherry Scott for the wonderful love and care they provided for Mr. Adcock.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2017 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Dr. Derik Hamby officiating. Interment with military honors by American Legion Post 16 will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2017at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
