

Glenna Campbell Price, 58, of Monroe passed away, surrounded by her family, Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Lynchburg General Hospital, after a short illness. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 39 years, James W. “Jimmy” Price.
Born in Amherst County, May 25, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Byron Hume Campbell and Kathleen Mays Campbell. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, the Amherst Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and Lynchburg Scottish Rite.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Byron Hume “B.H.” Campbell Jr.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her three children, Tara Price Tyree and her husband Michael of Monroe, Jeffrey Brandal Price and his wife Laura, and Ashley Kathleen Price, all of Madison Heights; two sisters, Iris Mays of Madison Heights and Juanita Ondrick of Amherst; three brothers Glide Campbell, Willard Campbell, and Jerry Campbell, all of Amherst; and five grandchildren, Tatom, Ryann, and Reagan Tyree, and Olivia and Jackson Price.
She was, and will be remembered as, a full time wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to the countless lives she touched in her lifetime.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Shin Hong officiating. Interment will follow in Amherst Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2010 at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
