Gordon Douglas Fisher

Born August 27, 1957, in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Carol William Fisher Sr., and is survived by his mother, Zettie Nuckles Fisher Tibbs, of Lynchburg.

Mr. Fisher was employed at Englander Transport Inc., and was a former employee at Larry Snead Trucking.

Survivors also include a son, Adam Douglas Fisher, of Madison Heights; a daughter, Gennifer Robinson and husband Mark, of Walkersville, WV; siblings, James Fisher and wife Joyce, and family, Carol William Fisher Jr. and wife Fran, and family, Mary Bryant, and family, and Michael Fisher and wife Pam, and family, all of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Samantha and Logan Robinson, and Alexis Lee Wharam; dear friends, Curtis Kirkland Jr. and wife Heather, and family, and Larry Snead; special friends of the family, Diana Fisher and Marilyn Mason, other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Whitten Monelison Chapel, by the Rev. Tommy Bryant.

The family will receive friends at the residences of his wife, "Von", 584 Riverview Rd, Madison Heights; and his brother, Carol, 218 Wayne Dr., in Lynchburg.
