Hallie Ella Wright

Born in Madison Heights, June 26, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Leonard Wright and Mary Scott Wright. She was retired from Lynchburg Gas Company after 40 years of service and was a member of Grace Memorial Episcopal Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters, Earl Wright, Shaner Wright, Walter Wright, Louise Loving, Catherine Spivey, James Wright, Curtis Wright, Durwood Wright and Lennie Short.

She is survived by one sister, Barbara W. Garrett and her husband Albert of Madison Heights; two sisters-in-law, Dolores Wright and Peggy Wright; one brother-in-law, George Short; nine nieces and nephews, Mike Spivey, Janice Butler, Tim Wright, Sharon Cash, Dan Garrett, Jimmy Wright, Renee Campbell, Debbie Jordan and Susan Loving and a number of other extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Very Reverend Catharine Montgomery officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
