John "J.W." Warwick Kirby, Jr.

John “J.W.” Warwick Kirby, Jr., 62, of Madison Heights, died, Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at his residence. He was the husband of Sandra Shipman Kirby. Born August 28, 1950, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late John Warwick Kirby and the late Doris Shepherd Kirby.

John was a retired sheet metal worker for Aerofin. He also served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and he was of the Baptist faith. John was also a member of the Madison Heights American Legion.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Kirby.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his four daughters, Donna Kirby Tyree and her husband Norman of Monroe, Crystal Kirby Epperson and her husband Mike of Rustburg, Jeri Kirby Dudley and her husband Justin of Madison Heights and Teri Kirby Lepper and her husband Trevor also of Madison Heights; three brothers, William Kirby of Rustburg, Robbie Kirby of Forest and Troy Kirby also of Forest; one sister, Dianne Mayberry and her husband Robert of Altavista; sister-in-law, Diana Kirby of Gladys; and seven grandchildren, Kristopher Kirby, Jackson Dudley, Joshua Tyree, Zachary Davidson, Alana Epperson, Tristan Epperson and (Baby) Lepper.

The family will receive friends, 5-7 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.

Graveside services will be private.
