Joyce Renae Allcock Grant

Joyce Renae Allcock Grant lost her battle with depression on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Joyce was born May 12, 1972 in Lynchburg Va. She is the daughter of JoJo Allcock, of Madison Heights and Ray Allcock and stepmom Jackie Allcock of Dayton Va. She is a graduate of Amherst County High School, CVCC and the Criminal Justice Academy of Central VA. She was a member of Clifford Baptist Church. Joyce was the loving mother of Austin Lee Grant, of Amherst and fur mama to Hershey her Golden Retriever. Also surviving are sister Ellen Allcock, niece Lexi Allcock, both of Madison Heights, paternal grandmother Kathryn Allcock of GA, devoted friends Kelly and Steve Sprouse of Amherst, and significant other Kenneth Mays of Rustburg. Joyce was preceded in death by sister Christina Allcock Hill, maternal grandparents Frances and Billy Ballew, paternal grandfather Raymond Allcock Jr. A memorial service will be conducted at Clifford Baptist Church Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 12 noon with Pastor Michael Fitzgerald officiating. Family will receive visitors beginning at 1030 a.m. prior to the service.
