Judith Dodson Mason

Born May 20, 1933 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Tillman and Hallie Whitehead Dodson and was also preceded in death by two sons, Steven Carroll Mason, Sr. and Michael L. Mason and a sister, June Dodson Clark. She was a retired Clerk of the Campbell County District Court and was a volunteer with the Lynchburg General Hospital Auxiliary since 1997. Mrs. Mason was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Mason is survived by one son, Alex R. Mason, Jr. and Debra H. McCabe of Forest; three daughters, Katherine Mason of Rustburg, Suzanne Campbell and husband Glenn of Madison Heights, and Judy Rae Mason of Bowie, MD; a brother, Alex D. Dodson and wife Violet of Chapel Hill, NC; six grandchildren, Andy Mason and wife Elizabeth of Bristol, TN, Adam Mason of Rustburg, Ashley Mason and wife Kathryn of Evington, Steven C. Mason, Jr. and wife Kristin of Stafford, Nicholas A. Campbell, and Alexis S. Campbell, both of Madison Heights; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 14, 2014 at the Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery in Naruna with the Rev. Dr. Edwin Clever, the Rev, Dr. James W. Cobbs and the Rev. C. Douglas Pillow officiating.
