

Judy Wright Peters, 62, of Amherst, our beautiful mother, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 8, 2014. She was a loving wife to the late Richard D. Peters and devoted mother, Nannie / Nana to her precious grandchildren, daughter, sister, and aunt.
Born August 13, 1951 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of Katherine Eisemon Wright of Madison Heights and the late Allie Carl Wright. Mrs. Peters retired from Radiology Consultants after forty one and a half years of service. She loved the Lord and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Monroe, where she served in many different ministries.
Mrs. Peters is survived by her son, the Rev. Shawn Aric Peters and wife Amy M. Peters of Rustburg; her daughter, Kristy P. Landon and husband the Rev. Derrick R. Landon of Amherst; six grandchildren, Kayla, Alexa, Caleb, River, Aiden, and Addilyn; one brother, Wayne C. Wright and wife Barbara of Madison Heights; two sisters, Linda W. Bryan and husband Eugene Bryan of Strongsville, OH and Dianne W. Bryan and husband Gary Bryan of Madison Heights; and lots of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 11, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Monroe with Pastor Glynn Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and other times at the residence.
