

Kathy Stone passed away on March 3, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Kathy was born on December 29, 1966 in Howell, Michigan. She is survived by her son, Kevin Cramer (Danielle), her daughter, Nicole Cramer and her grandsons, Dylan and Harrison Cramer. Additionally, she is survived by her mother, Joan Tucker and step-father, Gene Tucker of Singer Island, Florida, her step-mother, Pam Muncie, of Homosassa, Florida, her sister, Cindy Foster (Tom) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, her brother, Mike Muncie (Kim) of Singer Island, Florida and several step-siblings. And her three "favorite nephews", Jon Muncie (Ivana), Chris Muncie (Stephanie), and Blake Foster. She is preceded in death by her father, Tom Muncie.
Kathy grew up in Tecumseh, Michigan and graduated from Tecumseh High School. She received an undergraduate degree in Education from Madonna College and was proud to earn her Master's Degree from the University of Michigan in Dearborn. She dedicated her teaching career of over three decades to helping special needs children and their families. Kathy had a real and positive impact on the lives of hundreds of children and their families in the Dearborn, Michigan, Plymouth, Michigan, and Amherst, Virginia school districts. She was a highly respected and awarded educator and leaves a lasting legacy through the love and dedication she gave to her students.
Kathy was an avid reader and a very talented writer. She utilized her writing skills to document her difficult but inspiring fight against cancer. With her "bossy little sister" Cindy at her side every step of the way, Kathy persevered to find the joy in every single day of her fight. Her Facebook posts inspired hundreds of friends and family who provided prayers, love, and endless support to Kathy throughout her journey.
Kathy's happiest moments were the ones spent with her family. She loved big holiday gatherings and devoted significant time and energy to planning family gift exchanges and Christmas games and arts and crafts projects for her grandsons. She loved to visit Disney World with younger family members. She was an ice cream aficionado who knew every ice cream shoppe within an hour drive of her home in Amherst, Rookies was her favorite. She liked to be known as "the fun one" and "the favorite aunt" and simply "Bunna". Her boundless love for her children and grandchildren will live on forever as it is passed through them to future generations.
A Celebration of Kathy's life will be held at a later date. Whitten Monelison Chapel is assisting the family.
