Louise Trent Ashwell

Louise Trent Ashwell, 94, of Amherst, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Charlie Thomas Ashwell, Jr. Born on February 13, 1924 in Gladys, she was the daughter of the late Cleaion Holt Trent and Nannie Hale Trent. Louise retired from General Electric and was a member of Fort Hill United Methodist Church. Louise loved her family and life. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 5 siblings and a son-in-law, William Boyd “Freddie” Sale. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Sale; her son, Earl Ashwell and wife Carolyn; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 10 am.
