Lynwood Earl Wright

Lynwood Earl Wright, 78, of Madison Heights passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Myrtle Campbell Wright. Born November 1, 1942, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Earl Blankenship Wright and the late Callie Coleman Wright.

Lynwood was a retired air brakeman for Buncha Rail Car Service and a member of Harvestfield Pentecostal Assembly. He was also an evangelist serving throughout the east coast.

Lynwood is survived by his three children, Sherry W. Ondrick of Madison Heights, Helen L. Faulconer of Madison Heights and Larry D. Lawhorne and his wife Sue of Appomattox; seven grandchildren, Brandy (A.R.), Tim, Laramie, Melissa (Billy), Lorrie (David), Dustin (Alexia) and Skylar; ten great grandchildren, Jake, Christian, T.J., Clara, Christopher, Karly, Kayley, Kenzleigh, Cypress and Tobias; and other loving family members and friends, including: Billy Bailess of Madison Heights and Mickey Tyree of Madison Heights.

A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Elsie Butler and Bishop S.Y. Younger officiating. Entombment will follow at Briarwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. There will be no visitation hours at the funeral home.
