Mr. Little was born July 16, 1945, in Suffolk, VA, the oldest son of the late Mack Dobrie Little and Virgie Lillian Boykins Little. Mr. Little was a retired long distance truck driver for Old Dominion Freight. He attended Lighthouse Baptist Church in Madison Heights. Mr. Little was a member of Moose Lodge 715 where he was an active member until 1999 when his health declined. He was also a former member of the Chuckatuck Volunteer Fire Department (Suffolk, VA) and the Monelison Volunteer Fire Deaprtment. Mack was an avid Virginia Tech fan and loved to watch the NASCAR races on TV.
Mr. Little is survived by his devoted and loving wife of almost 49 years, Patsy Franklin Little, whom he married on 9/9/66. From this marriage came two beautiful daughters, Delores S. Campbell (David “Runt”) and Donna L. Guill (Derick), and two rambunctious grandsons, Hunter Wade Guill and Taylor Lance Guill. Mr. Little is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, cousins and friends and his special canine friend, Brownie. Mr. Little loved his family immensely and was always bragging on his girls and grandsons to anyone who would listen. Everyone knows he never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Little was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Eugene Little and David Ray Little. He is survived by one brother, Michael Stephenson Little (Elizabeth) and one sister, Delores Jean Evans (Jay).
A special thank you goes to Amherst Dialysis for your love, care and devotion to Mack through the past 10 years…he loved you one and all, the nurses and CNA’s who cared for him at Fairmont Crossing Rehabilitation Center, on 4 East and NICU at Lynchburg General, and the staff of the Palliative Care Department at Lynchburg General.
In lieu of flowers, the daughters ask that you consider the needs of their mother as Dad lost his group life insurance only six days before his death due to his 70th birthday. Or, if you would prefer, donations can be made to the Monelison Volunteer Fire Department.
