Born in Lynchburg, December 15, 1958, she was the daughter of the late James Buford Joyce.
She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and had a passion for helping people in need.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, James Davis and his wife Patrice of Port Aransas, TX; four daughters, Joyce Campbell of Killeen, TX, Crystal Davis, Maria Ortiz and Mary Hargis all of Madison Heights; one step-daughter, Michelle Hargis of Norfolk and 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at Oakdale Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Wornstaff officiating. Interment will follow in Meade Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
