

She was the daughter of Frank Carl Ogden and Francis Elizabeth Stinnett Ogden.
Ann was a vibrant soul who cherished yard sales, flowers, family gatherings, antiques, and her beloved grandchildren. She had a special affection for all her cats and loved spending time at the beach, collecting sea shells, and fishing. Nags Head, NC, held a special place in her heart, where she enjoyed many memorable moments. Ann was known for her love of hosting and entertaining during the holidays, bringing joy to family and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Ferguson; her son, Paul Slaughter; her parents; and numerous brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons, Dwayne Slaughter (Karla) and Shawn Slaughter; six grandchildren: Keenan Slaughter, Robert Zimmerman, Madison Slaughter, Kennedy Slaughter, Carter Slaughter, and Lincoln Slaughter; one great-grandchild, Artemis Slaughter; brothers: Robert Ogden, Cecil Ogden, Steve Ogden (Rebecca), Gail Ogden, Jimmy Ogden (Maggie), and Gary Ogden; sisters: Gerri Price (Jim), Freida Gillispie (Buck), and Esther Stinnett; and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday night, July 28, 2024, from 6-8 pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel in Madison Heights Virginia. Services will take place at Whitten Monelison Chapel on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 11 am, officiated by Stan Ogden and Judy Morris.
Ann will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery in Amherst Virginia. Whitten Monelison Chapel is assisting the family.
