Nancy Bell Carroll

Born August 16, 1940, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter Franklin Carroll and Jessee Bell Carroll.

Nancy is survived by her many stories told over the years, her love for Amherst County and Madison Heights High School, class of 1957; her devoted cousins, friends, wonderful neighbors and her dog, Snoopy, that she loved very much.

Nancy was a retired Registered Nurse for Centra Health, working 44 years in the Operating Room at Lynchburg General Hospital. After her retirement, she was a dedicated volunteer for Centra Pulmonary Rehabilitation. She was a member of Amelon UMC.

Nancy was most grateful for her many cards, phone calls, and visits from her faithful friends, family and Centra Hospice.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-7:00 p.m., prior to the service, at Amelon UMC, and at other times at the residence.

A celebration of her life will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. at the church, by the Rev. Dr. Paulo C. Da Silva, the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton, and the Rev. Evelyn Mitchell.

Interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2011, in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
