

Born March 23, 1947 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late Edward S. and Susie Johns Branham and was also preceded in death by a brother, Preston Branham and a sister, Mary Propst. Pandora retired from the Central Virginia Training Center with more than thirty-two years of service and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. She will always be remembered as a great cook and for all of the wonderful meals she prepared for family and friends. Pandora loved children, country music and dancing. She was a proud member of the Monacan Nation and will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her.
Pandora is survived by six children, James Thompson (Pam) of Monroe, Serena Wright (James) of Lynchburg, Thomas Thompson (Becky Meadows) of Madison Heights, Kenneth Branham of Amherst, Roy Branham (Dale), and Albert Thompson, both of Madison Heights; four brothers, Alfonso Branham and General Lee Branham (Donna), both of Amherst; Eddie Branham, Jr. (Jean) of Monroe, and Wesley Johns of Oregon.
She is also survived by three sisters, Brenda Branham of Madison Heights, who was not only her special sister, but also her best friend, Bertie Branham of Monroe, and Barbara Fulcher of Altavista; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a devoted niece, Cheryl Stinnett and many other special nieces and nephews; the love of her life, Jimmy Wright and her canine companion, Friskie.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Dr. Michael Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the funeral home and other times at the home of James and Pam, 187 Cedar Gate Road, Monroe.
