Patricia Ann Burks

Born on February 19, 1949, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Hazel Burford.

She attended Ebenezer Baptist Church. Patricia retired as a CNA from Central Virginia Training Center. She enjoyed watching gameshows, her cat, and most importantly her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Trinity Burks.

Patricia is survived by her sons, Kenneth E. Burks, Jr. and wife, Debbie, and David A. Burks and wife, Kristy; her daughter, Tamatha Ann Burks and fiancé, Jeffrey Michael Proffitt; six grandchildren, Aimee Burks, Kandace Burks, Devan Burks, Kacey Maddox, Conner Proffitt, and Layla Proffitt; two great grandchildren, Jaxon and Mila; her sister, Louise Crouch; her brother, John “Butch” Burford and wife, Betty; and numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Whitten Monelison Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Dwayne Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Briarwood Memorial Gardens.
