He was born in Lynchburg on January 6, 1960, and was the son of the late Wilson Lee Wright and Hazel Lawhorne Wright.
Ricky was preceded in death by two siblings; a brother, Larry E. Burchette and a sister, Sheila M. Burchette.
He was a NASCAR fan and also loved cheering for the Miami Dolphins. Ricky had a huge love for muscle cars, motorcycles, and music.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Robertson Wright; one son, Zachary Wright; one stepson, Justin Robertson; one stepdaughter, Amanda Robertson; one brother, Gregory L. Wright and wife Stephanie; two grandchildren, Mason Parker and Lilliana Parker; best friend, Preston Cunningham and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
