Born January 20, 1945 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Edward William Freeman, Sr. and Sallie Beatrice Fulcher Freeman and was also preceded in death by four brothers, Edward W. Freeman, Jr., Randolph Stuart Freeman, Sr., David Phillip Freeman, and Carlton Wesley Freeman and two sisters, Iris Freeman Phelps and Betty “Tink” Freeman Thaxton.
He was a retired, self-employed business man and a longtime member of Shekinah Glory Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for thirty years.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Freeman is survived by one brother, the Rev. Ronnie Freeman and many special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:30–8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Carlton Dunn officiating.
Following the graveside, the family will receive friends at Good News Baptist Church for a time of food and fellowship.
