

Ruth Burks Eubank, 93 of Madison Heights, passed away December 11, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Edward Eubank, and her son, Frank T. Eubank.
Born September 29, 1917, in Amherst County, she was a daughter of the late Henley and Mary Jane Burks. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and was retired from CVTC. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Berta S. Burks; two sisters, Corrine Knox, and Vernie Geiger; five step-sisters, Christine Jefferson, Lucille Lavender, Bessie Franklin, Odell Pulliam, and Sammy Burks; and step-brother, Henry Sheppard.
Survivors include four sons, William E. Eubank and wife Barbara, of Lynchburg, Harry T. Eubank and wife Shirley, of Madison Heights, Joseph V. Eubank and wife Maggie, of Madison Heights, and Henry W. Eubank and wife Patricia, of Rustburg; daughter-in-law and special friend, Barbara W. Eubank, of DeLand, FL; step-sister-in-law, Ruby Sheppard "Bea", of Madison Heights; special friend and class mate, Warren Davis, of Allwood, 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel, and at other times at the residence.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at Whitten Monelison Chapel, by the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton and the Rev. Jack Finch. Interment will follow in Allwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Centra Hospice or to Lighthouse Baptist Church.
