Shirley Maddox Foster

Born April 3, 1936 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late John Sam and Emma Gibson Maddox. Shirley was also preceded in death by siblings, Clayton Maddox, Celmer Morgan, Eleanor Dowdy, E. Wayne Maddox, and Barbara Horn. She was a retired office administrator with Taylor Ramsey and was a member of Madison Heights Baptist Church.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Pam Martin and husband Rick of Lynchburg and Teresa McCrickard and husband Barry of Amherst; her brother, Thomas Maddox and wife Joyce of Amherst; her sister, Vernie Angus of Waynesboro and two grandchildren, Jessica McCrickard and Tori Huffman (Jackson Connell).

A memorial service to celebrate Shirley’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Madison Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Fitzgerald officiating. The family will receive friends, following the service.
