Skyler Anthony Metts

He was born on April 2nd, 1995, in Newport news the son of Marshall Metts and Marlissa (Trietsch) Mettle.

Skyler graduated from Chancellor high school class of 2013. Following his graduation, he went to the NASCAR Technical Institute college and graduated in 2014. After college he went on to get his CDL in 2015 and became a truck driver driving cross country. Then he ended at his last job “hauling the mud” as he would say for Lynchburg Ready Mix in 2016.

Skyler was predeceased by his grandparents Marshall and Hilda Metts, Paul and Kay Trietsch. His uncles Joseph Batten and Terry Metts. His aunt and uncle Mattie and Leroy Taylor.

Surviving is his fiancé Shauna Champney, his 3 daughters Peyton, Ivy, Logan-Rae, his mother and father Marlissa (Trietsch) Mettle and Marshall Metts, his stepfather John Mettle, his sister Cassidy Metts and her fiancé Shane Cushman, and his nephew Jaxson. His Uncle Scott Trietsch, his Aunt Brenda Batten, Aunt Mary Crocker, Aunt Kathy and Uncle Don Benson, his Uncle David and Aunt Laura Trietsch, his cousins Beth Oakes, Jeff and Tiffany Batten, Hillary and Kenny Linhart, Hannah Cooper, Connor and Katheryn Trietsch, Kayleigh and Tyler Trietsch, Kenny Jr, Connor and Kayden.
