He was born in Campbell County on April 16, 1924, son of the late Richard A. Johnson and the late Lou G. Johnson.
Syd was a retired farmer who had farmed his entire life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Arlene B. Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 3 – 5 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Prospect Cemetery in Prospect, Virginia.
