Timothy Wayne Conner (Big Tim), aged 60, of Amherst County, Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2023 at his residence. Born in Lynchburg Virginia, he was the cherished son of Bruce Norman Conner Sr. and Shirley Mae Reynolds Conner.
Timothy was a dedicated and beloved husband to his wife, Ioma Conner (Sue), sharing a life filled with love and companionship. He was a devoted truck driver for Adams Construction, contributing over 15 years of his life to his profession.
His passions were as varied as they were heartfelt. Timothy held a deep affection for old cars and could often be found tinkering with or admiring their craftsmanship. His adoration extended to his furry companions, especially his beloved dog, Cree Cree, whom he cherished and spoiled endlessly.
A man of genuine warmth, Timothy held a special place in his heart for his family and friends. He found joy in simple pleasures, relishing in the act of washing vehicles, wearing his beloved ball caps and black t-shirts, and sharing hearty laughter through his love for jokes.
His love for the outdoors was palpable, finding solace in riding his 4-wheelers and admiring the majestic horses while seated on the front porch, a sight that brought him much admiration.
Timothy Wayne Conner will be remembered for his generous spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of joy, love, and cherished memories that will be held dearly by all who had the honor of knowing him. Tim is survived by his wife, Sue, and one brother, Pat Conner (Jenette) and one sister in law, Connie Conner. He is also survived by his daughter, Candy Coleman and his stepsons, John Verdinella Jr. (Norma). and Michael Verdinella (Doris), and a special friend, John Verdinella Sr. He also leaves behind a very special sister In law, Brenda Staton and two special brother in laws, Jerry Winfield and Sammy Winfield. Tim leaves behind special friends, Becky and Maureen Vail, and Susan Staton and a special niece, Millisia Conner and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bruce Conner.
A private celebration of Timothy's life will be held at a later date.
His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit and the warmth of his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. "We'll hold you in our hearts until we meet again.”
