Virginia Coleman Johns

Born April 8, 1936 in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late George Edward Coleman and Mary Morris Coleman and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn Martin. She was a retired dietician with the Central Virginia Training Center.

Mrs. Johns is survived by four children, Virginia Coleman of Monroe, Roger Coleman and Doris Shifflett, both of Madison Heights, and William Shifflett of Richmond; a brother, George Coleman, Jr. of Maryland; four grandchildren, Robert Ford, Chessica Shifflett, William Shifflett, and Willie Shifflett and five great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Interment will follow at Briarwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the funeral home.
