
Born July 16, 1933 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late William Virgil and Laura Campbell Carrico. Mr. Carrico was the retired owner & operator of Tody’s Sunoco in Madison Heights and most recently enjoyed being the co-owner and working with his wife, Ruby and sister-in-law, Dolly at Ye Olde Antiques-T&D Variety in Madison Heights. He was a member of Amelon United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Carrico is survived by a sister, Laura C. Elliott of Lynchburg; sisters–in-law, Frances Carroll and Dolly Coleman, both of Madison Heights; a number of nieces, nephews, close friends, and two special pets, Cocoa and Midnight.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. George Dan Lee officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m. (noon) and other times at the residence.
The family would like to give special thanks to Nancy Ayers and Bob Hopkins for helping to care for “Tody” during his illness and to Dr. Dwight Oldham and the staff of English One at Virginia Baptist Hospital.
