OBITUARIO
William Jeffrey Hankins
11 enero , 1960 – 28 junio , 2019
EN EL CUIDADO DE
Whitten Monelison Chapel
William Jeffrey Hankins, 59, of Madison Heights, passed peacefully in his sleep on Friday, June 28, 2019 at his residence, which was a blessing.
Born in Lynchburg, January 11, 1960, he was the son of the late William L. Hankins and Barbara Ann Powell Hankins.
He was an avid NASCAR fan; Denny Hamlin #11 was his driver. His other hobbies were fishing and watching golf and baseball on TV for hours.
Jeff never met a stranger! Regardless of where you met him, he never forgot you and if he ever got your phone number, you were in trouble. He had much love for his family and friends, even though he had a hard time showing it.
He didn't get out as much as he used to, but he really looked forward to the days Bryan came home & they just made a day out of hanging out shopping, eating & having a few cold ones. He even liked being called "Uncle Willie".
We want to thank everyone at Dr. Smith’s office and the girls at CVS on Campbell Ave. for caring for him over the last few years, you had to have great patience.
Also, a very special thank you to his cousin Jean for your help these last few months. We are grateful.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ann Smith; his son, Cody Wayne Lipscomb; his sister, Teresa Brooks and husband Phillip; two grandchildren, Aaliya & Isaiah; his brother, Ricky Hankins; three nephews, Derek Brooks, Kevin Powell and Derrick Powell; his friend and sidekick, Bryan Kosegi and other extended family and friends.
