William Russell Irby

William Russell Irby, 72, of Madison Heights passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of 46 years to Deborah Huffman Irby. Born October 30, 1945, he was the son of the late William Irby.

William was a retired machinist for Wexco and was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith. He was a loving son, husband and father.

William was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Minnie Irby.

In addition to his wife, William is survived by two sons, William Russell Irby, Jr. of Madison Heights and Paul Lewis Irby of Myrtle Beach; and one aunt, Betty Lipscomb of Lynchburg.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dixie Youth Madison Heights Baseball.
