

Born in Madison Heights, May 31, 1967, he was the son of Joyce Farish Smith-Fittery of Madison Heights and the late Kenneth Maynard Smith. Will proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and worked at Glad Manufacturing in Amherst. He was a loving father and grandfather, he loved spending time with his family more than anything. Will could fix anything and was always there when his family needed him.
In addition to his mother, Will is survived by his fiancé Kim Powell whom he had been with for 28 years; two daughters, Heather Cash and her husband Tommy and Elizabeth Sale and her husband Justin and one son Kenneth Smith all of Amherst; two sisters, Jean Oakes and her husband Keith of Rustburg and Tammy Robertson and her husband Tony of Lynchburg; one brother, Mike Farish and his wife Ann of Lynchburg; three grandchildren whom he cherished, Peyton Jade Cash, Paxton Thomas Cash and Paisley Rae Sale; Priscilla Smith, the mother of his children and several beloved nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Gary Vernon and the Rev. Jeffrey Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Briarwood Memorial Gardens with military honors by the American Legion Post 16.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2015 at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his daughter Heather.
