Amy Carol Campbell

Amy Carol Campbell, 68, of Mebane, North Carolina, formerly of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Duke University Hospital, Durham, North Carolina, surrounded by her family.

Amy was born in Charleston on March 13, 1955, to the late Marshall and Sylvia Irene Skeens Mullens. She was a retired Registered Nurse at St. Frances Hospital with 42 years of service. She was a 1973 graduate of DuPont High School, a member of the WV Board of Nursing and the Clinical Coordinator of the Charleston Distance Run for 12 years. Amy loved the ocean, boating and fishing and was a member of Big Bottom Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Alan Campbell; paternal grandparents, George and Lola Mullens; and maternal grandparents, Oscar and Irene Skeens.

Amy is survived by her partner of 30 plus years, Keith Paxton; daughter, Michelle Campbell; son, Brandon (Racheal) Campbell all of Charleston; grandchildren, Braydon Campbell, Allyson (Jacob) Grose, Amy (Rowdy Cummings) Marshall; great grandchildren, Brynleigh Carol Grose and Phoenix Alexander Cummings; sisters, Julie Lawson of St. Albans, Becky (Scott) Combs of Nitro, Laura (Ben) Beard of Dunbar, Tina (Billy) Manley of Rincon, Georgia.; brothers, Mike (the late Kathy) Mullens of Charleston and Mitchell Mullens of Columbus, Ohio; special aunt, Connie Tedrow of Charleston; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Pastor Mike Long officiating. Family and friends may gather for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. till service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
