Moffit was born in Charleston on December 6, 1944, to the late Orville Curwood and Della Nelson Hackney. She was retired from CAMC Lighthouse Day Care with 10 years of service and was a member of Fair Haven Baptist Church. Moffit lived life to the fullest with her family and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Shorty” Myers; daughter, Angie Myers; and 6 sisters and brothers.
Moffit is survived by her son, Ernie (Courtney) Myers of Charleston; three grandchildren, Jordan, Zac and Garrett Myers; two great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday February 9, 2026, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Rev. Fred Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park, Charleston.
A visitation with family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday February 8, 2026, and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
