Bernard Peters

Born on July 11, 1934, in Ward, WV, to Robert and Rosa Peters, Bernard devoted his life to his family and community. He began his career as a chemist with DuPont immediately after graduating from high school and remained with the company until his retirement.

Throughout his life, Bernard was recognized as a committed parent, spouse, and employee, as well as a valued community member. His interests included family gatherings, fishing, fly tying, and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Grace; children Jeff (Paula), Kathy (Calvin), Amy (Ralph); grandchildren, Brent Peters (Katie), Stephanie Brennan, Matthew Dorsey (Stephanie), Cody Walker, Casey Stamper (Samuel); and eight great-grandchildren. Bernard was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday May 2, 2026, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden. Inurnment will follow at Ward Cemetery.
