Crystal June Thacker

Crystal June Thacker, 45, of St. Albans, suddenly passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at CAMC Memorial Hospital following her valiant fight against cancer. Crystal was born on January 4, 1979 in Charleston.

Crystal grew up in Malden, she attended DuPont High School and loved being a member of show choir.

Crystal worked hard all her life. Her favorite job was as a receptionist at A Special Touch In-Home Care.

She had a vast love for all things Disney. She loved to shop and buy things for her family and friends. Anyone who knew Crystal knew that she was a beautiful person who spread joy and happiness. She was always a source of positivity. She would do anything for her friends and family and loved fiercely.

Crystal and Josh have been together for 12 years. They were married on August 21, 2021. They recently moved from Poca, where her children were raised, to St. Albans where they lived with her mother-in-law, Brenda Wilkinson Thacker, and their dog, Izzy.

Crystal is preceded in death by her mother, Angela Knapp; and her grandmother, Wanda Paxton. She is survived by her husband, Joshua Thacker; children, Lindsey Carter and Bobby Carter; brother, James Dowell (Nisha); niece, Samiya; sister, Kimberly Sprouse (Richard); and her aunt, Tammy Cawthorn (Mark).

All of those she loved and touched deeply. Please join us in celebrating her life at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston.

A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
