

Aunt Dee, as she was referred to by her family, was born in Charleston on June 20, 1931, to the late Ira and Mabel Carpenter Ross. She retired from Meistergram with over 30 years of service and was a member of the Lick Run Hunting Club. She was a loving Aunt to all her nieces and nephews, and they will always cherish the fond memories they had growing up with her as their aunt.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Les Hemmings and Vincent Mantine; stepdaughter, Barb McClelland; sisters, Gloria Bostic, Carol Good, Naomi Kinser, Betty Holbrook; brothers, Louis, Fred, Joseph and Bobby Ross; nephew, Wayne Good.
She is survived by her nieces, Bobbi Bostic, Dawn Marrie, Kelly (Kenny) Teel, Vicky Kinser-Carmel, Billie (Tim) Finkler, Sherri Pigmon, Robin (Tom) Ward, Tammy Smoot and Michelle (Winston) Ross Hodge; nephews, Bryan Bostic, Jimmy (Sarah) Good, Jimmy (Nancy) Kinser and Bobby (Tammy) Kinser; and a host of great and great great nieces and nephews; step-daughter, Vicky (Jim) Valenti; step granddaughters, Kathy Venvik, Kari (Carl) Wilkes and Tracy Colon; step grandsons, Jimmy Valenti and Danny Swartz.
At Aunt Dee’s request, cremation is being honored, and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
