Donald Keith Walker

Donald Keith “Donnie” Walker, 68 of Bergoo, passed away, Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at CAMC Memorial after a short illness. He was born March 9, 1948 to the late Howard and Willie Walker. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers; Robert “Bowdy” and Kenny “Ace” Walker; sisters; Hallie Carver, Virginia “Runt” Hanna and Annalee Wright.

Donnie was raised in Quincy, WV and graduated from DuPont High School in 1967. He loved his home in Bergoo that he built from scratch. He cherished everyday in Bergoo after retiring in 2010 from Smith Motor Company where he was a mechanic for many years. He previously worked at Tag Gaylan. Donnie loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his brothers; Howard Walker of Marmet and Charles Walker of Minot ND; son, Kenny “Copperhead” Walker of Quincy and daughter, Amy Walker of Huntington; 2 grandchildren, Aila Brimat and Tommy Walker; 3 great grandsons; special friends, Al and Debra Shaffer; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends including his special little buddy, Chris Billo.

A memorial service will be held at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 7:00pm. A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 pm until time of service.
