

Cookie was born on June 13, 1954, and lived her life on Campbells Creek. She loved to sing and was a past very proud member of the Spring Fork Baptist Choir. She sang many times at Cinco Wesleyan Church and spent many evenings on her porch singing. She had a beautiful voice. Cookie loved Orange Mountain Dew and her weekly trips to search for it.
Cookie is preceded in death by her parents, Reve and Ruby Bartley; and her brothers, Jody, Claude, Jerry, Little June and Junior; sister, Emogene Brown and sister-in-laws, Janet, Barbara, Ruby Lou and Louise; one brother-in-law, Carl Crews; her nieces, Hope Beasley, Patty Jarrett; and nephews, Bubby, Bubber, Bill, Joey Bartley and Chuckie Garten.
She leaves behind a family that will treasure her memory. Her daughter, Dawn (Timmy McCune) Kinison; two granddaughters, Faith (Jack) Rose of Clendenin and Melanie Kinison of Campbells Creek. Her favorite and only great-grandchild, Harmony Rose. Her sister, Judith Crews and brothers, Russell Roy Bartley of Campbells Creek and David (Sue) Bartley of Culloden. Her sister-in-laws, Diania and Betty Bartley. A host of nieces and nephews that fondly recall all of the mischievous things they did with Cookie.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday,January 27, 2024,at Big Bottom Baptist Church, 1259 Campbells Creek Drive, Charleston, WV 25306 with Pastor Fred Christian officiating.
