

She was born on July 9, 1950, in Montgomery, West Virginia, to the late John and Lula Craig. At an early age, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and remained grounded in faith throughout her life.
Faye was a graduate of Montgomery High School. Following graduation, she traveled throughout the United States and Europe alongside her devoted husband, U.S. Air Force Retired Chief Master Sergeant James E. Coleman, during his military service. Though she lived in many places, West Virginia always remained home in her heart.
Faye retired in 2008 after a long and dedicated career with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), where she was well known and fondly remembered by service members for her warm smile and kind spirit.
She is survived by her loving husband, James E. Coleman of San Antonio, Texas; her son, Matthew James Coleman (Kelly) of Bloomington, Illinois; stepchildren Jeffrey Tinsley (Toyee) of Charlotte, North Carolina and Lisa Christopher of Alexandria, Virginia; sisters, Libby Brown (Robert) of San Antonio, Texas, and Sandra Grasty of Beards Fork, West Virginia; brothers, James Craig (Delores) of Cannelton, West Virginia, and Timothy Craig (Wanda) of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of beloved aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, 4203 Salines Drive, Malden, West Virginia. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Beards Fork, West Virginia, officiated by Rev. Sherman James and Rev. Doug Mullins. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.
