Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” John 17:4, “I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.” James loved the Lord and showed it in his poetry that he wrote while learning the word. He was an interesting man having lived in a mansion to being homeless to working for a circus. Despite his many obstacles in life he never stopped trying to sew the seed of Christ in others. Now he’s in his mansion in the sky.
James was preceded in death by his father and mother, Alvin and Florence Mannon; and his dearest friend, Ellen Worth.
He is survived by his caregiver of 13 years, Frances Simon; and several other family members.
Cremation has been honored and a Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday August 29, 2024 at Graceland Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, South Charleston with Pastor Matt Chapman officiating.
