

Johnny was born in Charleston on December 19, 1969, to the late Paul and Mary Patchell McNeal. He was a Christian and a member of the former Eskdale Missionary Baptist Church. He was a talented musician, singer and songwriter and was a gifted drummer, having played with Here comes NeyBob and The Pat Clark Project.
He is survived by a son, John Mitchell McNeal of Campbells Creek; two granddaughters, Paisley and Lilly McNeal; sisters, Becky McNeal of St. Albans, Betsy (Scott) Dingess of Elkhart, IN and Mary Stephens of Melbourne, FL; brother, Danny (Diane) McNeal of East Bank; a special niece, who was like a sister, Rachel Hill of Sissonville; two special friends, Ben Stanley and Lance Jude.
At Johnny’s request, cremation will be honored. A Celebrate of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday December 7, 2025, at Kingdom Life Fellowship Church, 405 First Ave. South, Nitro, WV 25143, with Rev. John Paul Stephenson officiating.
A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church.
