

He was born on December 25, 1941, in Olcott, West Virginia, to the late John Q. Thomas and Zola Mae Fletcher Thomas.
Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years, Lois J. Thomas, and his sister, Norita Lambert.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Larry dedicated his working life to his craft, spending more than 50 years as a carpenter and licensed electrician. He was known for his strong work ethic and the skill of his hands.
Larry enjoyed golfing and bowling over the years, but most of all he treasured time spent with his family.
He is survived by his two sons, Larry Stephen (Buffy) Thomas and Craig (Leona) Thomas. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Alex Bennett, Hollie (Adam) Hodge, Chelsea Hanna, Craig (Katie) Thomas, Jr., Andy Ranson, Jake Ranson, and Abby Ranson, as well as his great grandchildren, Carson Hodge, Olivia Hodge, Ellie Thomas, Owen Thomas, Michael Hanna, Jamie Hanna, and Nevaeh Hawks.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday March 13, 2026, with funeral services immediately following at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Pastor Dave Carney of North Charleston Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
