Marilyn Kay Young

She was born on June 23, 1939, to the late Golden and Eunice Morris. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lyle Young; daughter, Debra Young Taylor; grandson, Adam Marshall Taylor; and sister, Martha McQuillen.

She was a 1957 graduate of Cedar Grove High School and was a member of the Georges Creek Baptist Church.

Marilyn is survived by daughters, Lora Young (Bob Russell) and Pamela Young (Dwight Lanham), all of Rand; grandson, Seth Taylor of Charleston; granddaughter, Whitney (Jason) Backus; great-grandson, Logan Backus, all of Shrewsbury; sister, Peggy (Ed) Eschmann of Dalton, OH.; brother, Patrick Morris of OH.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. Jim Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
