

She was born in Raleigh County on June 18, 1927, to the late Oliver C. “Fuzzy” and Flora Louise Clayton Rickman. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Donald Perry; and several siblings.
One memory that she was most proud of and cherished was that during World War II she worked in Tacoma, Washington, for Boeing Aircraft making airplanes for the war effort.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sandra Jean (John) Ferrell of Tad, Loretta Kay (Rickey) Carr of Taylorsville, North Carolina and Nita Elaine Perry of Tad; sons, Gary Allen (Vicki) Perry of Crescent City, California and Donald Eugene (Carolyn) Perry of Campbells Creek; sisters, Jackie Webb of Charleston and Peggy Rickman of Texas; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and other family members.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 2015, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. Fred Christian officiating. The entombment will follow the service at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Family and friends will gather for the visitation one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Nita’s memory to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, West Virginia 25311.
