I met Ron at the pool in SC, always accompanied by his wife Paula. What a beautiful couple. Throughout the summer they would bring the grandkids swimming.  The news of Ron's Tragedy hit me to the core.  He was truly a wonderful soul. My heart aches for Paula and all of the family. My deepest condolences to you all. 

RON and Paula were one of the 1st couples I met when I moved to Murrell's Inlet S.C  Ron was what you called a really nice guy and would give you the shirt off his back. Can't tell how much he'll be missed. God Bless you Buddy,I'm glad to have a friend ,I'm still in shock,think about you daily.   Thanks for being my friend.        John Raeburn

Ron will be so badly missed and never forgotten.  He was a really good man. Danica and Austin loved him so very much! I pray for comfort for all of Ron’s Family and Loved Ones. 

I’m so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. I worked with him for several years at Rite Aid. Paula, my thoughts are with you and your family. 

So many great memories growing up next door to Ron. From watching him defend Gene McNeely in Pennsboro to betting the dogs when the greyhound track opened and everything in between. R.I.P.  my friend.

Herb and I are heartbroken.  Ron will always be one of our favorite people.  He always made us laugh and always told us he loved us when we parted. We loved him too.  We have so many wonderful memories from our time in BOTW.  We wish we could have seen the real Kid Rock with him one time. We will settle for the fake Kid Rock! Ron was a true friend, he was  there when my wife and I needed someone. I spent 9 hours with him on his last day. We were club Brothers but in reality we were brothers. Ron you will missed and never forgotten. R I.P. Brother...

Ron and I met in the first grade at Malden Elementary. He was one of the sweetest people I knew.although not a big talker he was ready to talk if you engaged him. 
Donna and family, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers  go out to all of you! 

Not exactly sure just how Ron and I met. We had several of the same friends in our mid teens. We all had jobs at the Fas Chek grocery store in our area. We learned quite a bit about life while working there. But experienced so much more in our daily activities.
  When our ages allowed us,we all wound up with our first vehicles at the same time.  From Ron’s chevell,John’s Cutlas,Joe’s Nova,Kevin’s Camera.along with all the other(used) vehicles any of us could afford. We always had places to go and life to see and enjoy. Cleaning our cars for Friday night cruises back and forth through Kanawha City.To ahanging at coonskin park . Showing off our rides ,checking out the other rides,and “admiring “the girls. We might meet at someone’s house,then decide to go fishing,join up in the private parts of the house to listen to music and jam on our air instruments. We’d give each other a hard time about the girls we were seeing. But we always enjoyed spending time ,all the girls and all the guys. We’d keep the bowling alley packed and busy,playing video games,bowling a few games while enjoying a few(several) adult beverages that at 18 we were legal to per take. All the while,try to convince his older sister or someone’s older brother,we were doing ok with no worries. And if you’d look over at Ron,he had a little twitch in the corner of his mouth when he’d get a little nervous. We’d enjoy Saturday’s riding in the hills,throwing mud and getting crazy,or maybe loading up and go to a area dirt track. That’s one thing that boy loved. The smell of the racing fuel,the deafening sound from the straight exhaust,and the excitement of bumping and rubbing. 
   As we got older,we somehow went our separate ways. But one things for sure. I don’t need a cell fone full of pictures nor video clips to remember most of the GREAT times we all enjoyed being near,around or with Ron. He always loved life and all he could squeeze from it. No matter his maturity level. We are all better for having him
