He was a member of the Nitro Church of the Nazarene and was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melissa Bowles; two brothers and two sisters.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Faye Bowles of Nitro; daughter, Crystal (Rodney) Kimble of Winifrede; son, Jason (Tina) Bowles of Whitesville; sister, Julia Dean Workman of Arizona; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Bron Walker officiating. The burial will follow the service at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.
The visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, February 2, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
