

Victoria “Vicki” Burns, 92 of Kanawha City, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2016 at the Good Living Assisted Living Center in Malden, after a long illness. Victoria was preceded in death by her husband Carl A. “Tag” Burns, and sisters, Margaret Pinson, Ann Russe, Mary Pacifico, and brothers, Joe, Sam and John Marshall. She is survived by one brother, Toney (Irene) Marshall of Belle, and a number of special nieces and nephews. Victoria attended Capital City Commercial College, and was employed by the Sears Credit Department, and was later the secretary and perpetual control clerk for General Truck Sales, Inc. GMC for twenty-three years. She volunteered at St. Francis Hospital, as was a past member of the St. Agnes Guild of St. Agnes Catholic Church and the Press Club of Charleston. Funeral Services will be held Monday May 2, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Father Joseph M. Augustine officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Park, London. A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Funeral Home. The family would like to gratefully thank the staff at the Good Loving Center for their loving kindness, and for the wonderful Hospice caregivers, who made Victoria’s final days comfortable and dignified. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Good Living Assisted Living Center in Malden, St. Agnes Catholic Church or Kanawha Hospice.
