Annette M Maddalena

Annette Maddalena (nee Green) was born on January 6th, 1939, and passed away on Saturday March 7th, 2026. She was born in Kearny, NJ and grew up in Keansburg, NJ where she met and married James Maddalena.

Annette was very involved in her community and had many lifelong friends who will miss her dearly. She was a librarian at the East Dover Elementary School in Toms River, NJ for 25 years. Annette was an avid traveler, enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening and tending to her flowers to help them grow, and spending time with her friends.

Annette was predeceased by her parents Mark and Janet Green.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years James Maddalena Sr., her children James Maddalena Jr., Mark Maddalena, and Suzan Katzer, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

She was one of the best, loving, kind people you would ever meet, and the best mother you could ever ask for. She will be very much missed.

A memorial service will be held on Friday March 13, 2026 at Thos. L. Shinn Funeral Home in Manahawkin, NJ from 1-5pm with a religious service beginning at 4:30pm.
