So very sorry to hear that we have lost Dennis. Our heartfelt condolences to the Golden Family.

One of the greatest gifts God has given to all of us is the gift of having memories.  It is such a blessing to know that Dad shall never be forgotten and through memories, we can visit him at any time we wish. Whenever a challenging day comes into our lives, we can easily recall the sound of his laughter or a lesson that he had taught us to protect from harm.  


He was our safety net from harm and his bear hugs will be deeply missed. Dad was the kind person you could always depend upon for being present at every special occasion in your life. He had a gigantic heart but oftentimes, He would fumble and search for words to say: I love you -or I am sorry.   His love was shown by extending a simple invitation to spend quality time with him and those precious moments meant the world to us. Sometimes you wouldn't hear a peep for hours on end from him, but, you just knew that he was content and happy that you were next to him. 

 Towards the end of his life, he would find ways to chat with us by whipping out his bike and offering to take you out for a ride, a day trip date to Peddler's Village, or buying a some part at home depot to come over and fix our apartments or homes.

 He was a Svengali when it came to alluring people into his kitchen for an authentic Italian meal. This was his ultimate way of speaking to you. Sundays or Wednesday nights became a family ritual to come home for dinner.  I will miss the smell of sauteed garlic, peppers and onions as I walked into the house or the steaks he would prepare in the smoker for us during the summer seasons so that the family could eat around the back porch table.  But whenever he would say: What do you think?  Or Try this,  love had came from that spoon or fork.


Mostly, all that Dad had expected from his loved ones was to accept him for being a simple, humble, and a content kind of guy.  He was a gentle giant with a big heart!  He was our first love and the only man we completely trusted. I am so humbled and honored that he paid the ultimate price by working long, hard, and stressful hours to provide and support all of our needs, goals and dreams throughout the years. I am proud of him and honored he was my dad because he was never a selfish man when it came to protecting and providing for his family. I cannot recall a single time in my life where he had broken a promise or refused to help us out in a time of crisis.  

 He loved to spend his time listening to Doo Wop and Motown music while he worked in his garage, or what we refer to as His Man-cave. He was trendy with the latest gadgets and technology, however, his taste for music and fashion never changed.  More so often, he would be in the workshop working on his toys or he'd be making toys for his grandkids Bridget and Jack. They were his inspiration and their love gave him permission to revisit his childhood and play with them too. 

If you didn't find him in the Mancave, you would notice that on a perfect summer day, that his bike was missing from the garage as he was probably chasing a the sunsets along scenic routes.  

 What fascinated us most about dad was his hidden talents to draw, sculpt and create anything with paper mache'.  He loved doing it and this was another outlet to invite anyone into heart and talk to him about anything that might have bothered you.
His ultimate masterpiece was his train room where everything was handcrafted and painted. He had sculpted several mountains with tunnels that would lead his train tracks into several tiny towns and train stations.  He was never boastful and It wasn't about what worldly goods Dad had collected over the years, it was a matter of simply finding and creating a place to spend precious time with him.

Dad would amaze us because he was a guy that wore many hats and a jack of all trades. He was an amazing problem solver. He always had a magic pill to resolve any problem. By that I mean, he would be quick to fix a toppling wedding cake hours before the reception or prepare a feast for 20 guests sleeping over and with less than a two hour notice. However, he was so crafty that he could also pop open a hood of a car to do a tune up or resolve a simple plumbing issues the next day.  Regardless of what he was fixing, his life purpose was to demonstrate a simple lovingkindness towards everyone and offer a helping hand to your fellow man.


We Love you Dad and Thank you God for for embracing him in your loving arms.

I am very sorry for your loss. He was a great man and will be missed by many.

The man, the legend, the mayor of white cap. Always there for others in a time of need, if it needed to be fixed Dennis could fix it. We were blessed to have Dennis as a neighbor, and most importantly, as a great friend. So many wonderful memories over the years. Rest In Peace our friend. To Pat, Erin, Brett and Bethany, you are in our thoughts and prayers always. Dennis was one of a kind and will be terribly missed but the memories will live in our hearts forever.

So very sorry for your loss. Danny and I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Dennis for so many years. Always had kind words to say. Rest In peace our friend.

Dennis was always there to lend a hand. He never refused to help anyone.  He loved jokes, sitting on the porch for hours on end. Ray would always join him.  Our biggest regret in leaving White Cap was leaving the "Goldens".  Our family gatherings together are too numerous to mention. We will treasure those memories forever. We'll miss and pray for him daily.

Great guy gone too soon.We are so sorry.Please cherish the happy memories always. Remember to live,love and laugh as he would want you all to do.
