Eileen Francis Ekelmann

April 13, 1945 – August 26, 2024

Eileen Francis Ekelmann, 79, of Manahawkin, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Eileen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, David Ekelmann. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and enduring memories. Eileen was the proud mother of three children: Brett and his wife Danielle, Kevin and his wife Michelle, and Donna. Although Eileen’s heart was heavy with the loss of her daughter, Kim, who passed away as a baby, she found joy and comfort in her role as a grandmother.

Eileen’s seven grandchildren—Matthew, William, Brian Jr., James, Grant, Jared, and Karleigh—were the light of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, from their earliest years to watching them grow into remarkable individuals.

Eileen’s warmth, compassion, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and the strong bonds she nurtured will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

A celebration of life will take place at Shinn Funeral Home, located at 10 Hillard Drive, Manahawkin, New Jersey on September 14, 2024 from 10:00am-12:00pm
